Wavebuster™ WB 70-3.0 Wavebuster™ is a Passive Heave Compensator supplied by Norwegian Offshore Lifting Technologies AS trough Enermech as their sole global representative.

The Wavebuster is a rugged self contained hydraulic/pneumatic unit with the internal gas pressure acting as the spring and the oil volume as damper. No external power supply is required.

Passive Heave Compensators are typically used for subsea lifts to increase the weather window and to reduce the dynamic load on the lifting device and cargo. It will also act as overload protection. Standard applications are Splash Zone, Resonance Reduction, Landing on and Retraction from the seabed.
